Welcome to the Dunaliella Culture Collection at Brooklyn College.
DCCBC is a specific culture collection that maintains only unicellular green algae
of the genus Dunaliella. The collection is actively involved in isolation and identification of new strains.
Therefore, the collection contains a number of species and subspecies in axenic cultures that were isolated
from various natural habitats and are not available through other culture collections yet.
Many of the Dunaliella strains maintained can be ordered from this collection. DCCBC was founded
in 2002 and is managed by Dr. Jürgen E.W. Polle.
