LEAP is studying the physiology and phylogeny of various genera of
unicellular green algae such as Chlamydomonas, Chlamydobotrys, Dunaliella,
and Haematococcus. In addition, we are interested in growing unicellular green
algae in mass culture for secondary carotenoid production and for hydrocarbon
production.
